BINDING LEGAL NOTICE: These Terms and Conditions are between you (“the User”) and A. Smith (“the Operator, the Owner, the Person, the Individual Who is Not Adrianna”). By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please close this tab and navigate to wherever you actually intended to go (possibly Adrianna’s website, which is a different website operated by a different person).

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • “The Site” refers to this website, definitively not-adrianna.com or any domain operated by A. Smith
  • “We,” “Us,” “Our” refers to A. Smith, not Adrianna
  • “The Service” refers to the portfolio, blog, and contact functionality available on this site
  • “Adrianna” refers to a completely separate individual who does not operate this site and whose work, while perhaps superficially similar, is entirely distinct from the work presented here
  • “You” refers to any visitor to this site, regardless of who you thought you were visiting

Acknowledgment

By using this site, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. This website is operated by A. Smith
  2. A. Smith is not Adrianna
  3. Adrianna is not A. Smith
  4. These are two distinct human beings who happen to share certain professional interests, aesthetic sensibilities, and at least one specific variety of houseplant (a monstera, which is extremely common and not evidence of anything)
  5. Any resemblance between the work on this site and work attributed to Adrianna is the result of independent creative development and does not constitute identity fraud, impersonation, or any actionable claim

Acceptable Use

You may use this site to:

  • View the portfolio of A. Smith
  • Read blog posts written by A. Smith
  • Submit inquiries to A. Smith via the contact form
  • Share links to this site, provided you describe it as “A. Smith’s website” and not “Adrianna’s website” or “that one that might be Adrianna’s”

You may not use this site to:

  • Gather evidence that A. Smith is Adrianna
  • Screenshot pages to send to your friends with the caption “is this Adrianna??”
  • Leave voicemails on our contact number beginning with “Adrianna, it’s me, I need to talk to you”
  • Conduct any form of identity investigation, however informal

Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including designs, illustrations, written text, and the general aesthetic vibe — is the intellectual property of A. Smith. It is not the intellectual property of Adrianna. If you believe you have encountered a copyright issue, please review the definition of “coincidence” before filing a claim.

Limitation of Liability

A. Smith is not liable for:

  • Any confusion arising from perceived similarities between this site and the work of Adrianna
  • Emotional distress caused by learning that A. Smith is not, in fact, Adrianna
  • Any projects, collaborations, or events you were planning with Adrianna that you accidentally booked with A. Smith
  • The monstera situation

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. We are not going to specify a jurisdiction because, again, that would narrow down the city, and we’ve established that the city is not relevant.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted to this page. We will not announce changes with the phrase “Hey everyone, it’s Adrianna.” Because it isn’t.
